Guest Stories

Guest reviews

“This place was amazing! 10/10 cannot recommend it enough. It’s such a peaceful spot, the privacy is great, the bed is insanely comfortable, I could go on and on. The uniqueness of the building was also super cool. We’ll definitely be back when we’re in the area.”

[The Story & Design Philosophy] Where Master Craftsmanship Meets Alpine Escapism. LUXHYTTE COLLECTIVE is more than a collection of short-term rentals; it is a showcase of livable art. Founded and brought to life alongside the local artisans at EarthBuilt Associates—a Colorado-based firm established in 2012—our properties are born from a deep reverence for the Colorado landscape and a lifelong dedication to the tactile art of building. After years spent physically shaping raw, sustainable materials—compressing rammed earth, casting bespoke artisan concrete, and working with the rich textures of patinated cold-rolled steel—a profound realization took hold: the structures we inhabit do more than provide shelter. They actively dictate our internal state of being. By designing, building, and managing these sanctuaries ourselves, we open the doors of exclusive, high-end architectural retreats to the public. The guest experience at LUXHYTTE is directly informed by our architectural choices, curated specifically to induce relaxation: • Materials with Gravity: We anchor our spaces with elemental, heavy materials like our signature thermally efficient rammed earth walls and custom architectural concrete. These elements absorb sound and provide a grounding, monolithic presence that immediately calms the nervous system. • Harmonious Textures: The integration of patinated steel accents and rich woodwork creates a tactile warmth that feels both modern and organically weathered, blending seamlessly with the surrounding alpine environment. • Rooted in the Landscape: The architecture doesn't just sit on the land; it participates in it. Through xeric landscaping and large, strategic sightlines, the transition between the comfortable interior and the wild exterior is purposefully blurred. • Curated Stillness: From transformative soaking tubs to intentionally minimalist, uncluttered layouts, the design removes visual noise so the mind can finally rest.
